Intake, Rates, Hours, Benefits Coverage & Cancellation Policy
Intake Process
When you
call our office for the first appointment, you will speak
to one of our intake counsellors. Initial appointments are generally
scheduled within one week from the time of your call. In
addition to providing us with your name, address, and appointment
availability, we will also like to know the general nature
of the concern for which you are seeking counselling and
any preferences you may have. This will assist us in ensuring
that you are assigned the most appropriate counsellor for
your situation.
Rates/Investment
CoreQuest Counselling & Consulting operates on a fee for service basis. The counselling service you are investing in includes the time and expertise of a counselling professional during the session, as well as necessary preparation time, record keeping and processing.

Our rates are subject to 5% GST and are consistent with the fee schedule
set out by the BCACC for Registered Clinical Counsellors.
We do not charge extra when working with couples or families.
Fees are to be paid in full by cheque, cash, Visa, MasterCard or debit at the time
of each appointment. In addition, fees
are charged for reports and letters written on behalf of
clients, and NSF cheques.
Hours
We offer flexible appointment
times weekdays, weeknights, and weekends. Hours of availability
vary among the therapists at CoreQuest Counselling. |

Benefits Coverage
We are recognized by providers with workplace health benefit plans like those of Great West Life and Pacific Blue Cross. Your Extended Health Benefits package may cover the cost of counselling provided by a Registered Clinical Counsellor. Consult with your workplace Human Resource Department or insurance company about whether you are covered to see a "Registered Clinical Counsellor" which is distinct from Registered Psychologists and Registered Social Workers. Receipts not submitted for insurance claims may be tax deductible under medical expenses. If you require more clarification on this please don't hesitate to call.
Cancellations & Missed Appointments:
Your counselling requires that your therapist reserves
a significant amount of time exclusively for your benefit.
We have a policy regarding cancellations and missed appointments
that we believe is fair to you, the counsellor, and other
clients needing appointments.
Because the appointment is reserved exclusively for you,
we will charge the full established fee for appointments
that are missed, rescheduled, or are cancelled with less
than 24 hours notice of your appointment time.
The only exception to this agreement is in the event of
an emergency. If this is the case, please telephone us as
soon as possible. Your counsellor will determine whether
your reason for canceling late constitutes an emergency.
